Stage 1-Oline Services

Communication:

MSN Messenger is a freeware instant messaging client that was developed and distributed by Microsoft between 1999 and 2005 for computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system, and aimed towards home users. It was renamed Windows Live Messenger in February 2006 as part of Microsoft's Windows Live series of online services and software.
MSN Messenger is often used to refer to the .NET Messenger Service (the protocols and server that allow the system to operate) rather than any particular client. The target Audience in normally found between the ages of 10 and upwards. The reason for it targeting starting ages of around 10 is because children like to interact with the fellow friends when not physically with them.
The reason why I have not set an older age limit is because ,Computers have become part of our everyday routine and as time goes by the older generation are becoming custom to the concept of everyday computing including instant messaging .
The benefits of having instant messaging are that you can interact and connect with friends, family and work colleges from any wear in the world, considering they have access to a computer and internet. There have already been many enchantments added to many Instant messaging services such as voice conferences ,Visual chat and games but with the technology growing today in this civilization there are no reasons why we could not find new ways of interacting with each other over instant messaging such as webcam gaming or maybe having voice enchantments. If you do not have access to the internet at a point in time and need to instant message, there is now a new alternative.Microsoft has introduced live messenger mobile. If you have a compatible hand set you can download the java based program and instant message over your handsets network. The most common used network for this is 3; this is because they offer the program free along with free messages inbound and outbound for contract users.

Commerce:

The internet has, many sites used for commercial sale such as Online shopping such as Play.com or Amazon, Online banking such as HSBC.co.uk or Nationwide.co.uk or even Auction websites.

EBay is an online auction and shopping website where people and businesses buy and sell goods and services worldwide. In addition to its original U.S. website, eBay has established localized websites in several other countries. eBay Inc also owns Pay Pal, Skype, and other businesses.
The target audience for eBay is 18 and up.The reason for it being 18 and up is because eBay only allows 18 + to register due to it being an auction site, handling money.
There are many benefits to eBay such as, you can get products cheaper, it’s online so it’s quick and easy and you get a huge variety of products for sale.Another benefit of eBay is that you can sell your unwanted goods to make some money. As with any web site you use your card to buy products over the internet with, you are always at risk with computer hackers obtaining your card details and using them. Also another drawback could be untruthful sellers. This could be a big effect on your purchase as the seller may say the products in good condition but when you receive it the product could be faulty or not the conditions you were told. This can be sold by looking for similar products in your local area to make sure your getting what you’re paying for. There is always room for improvement on any website, but such enchantments as 3d viewing or webcam viewing of the product with the seller could be adding as enchantments to eBay.There are no current non-internet ways to access eBay as it is officially and online auction site. Some mobile handsets can access eBay but they are using mobile internet.

Entertainment:

The internet is one of the key entertainment factors in the world. It holds gates to online gaming such as the service X box live from Microsoft or Playstation Home from Sony.
Also there are websites with flash games such as miniclip.com or flashgames.com.
Also there are online gaming websites which allow players from around the world to compete against each other.
Also there are websites were you can watch film clips and movies.YouTube is a video sharing website where users can upload, view and share video clips. YouTube was created in mid February 2005 by three former Pay Pal employees. The San Bruno-based service uses Adobe Flash technology to display a wide variety of video content, including movie clips, TV clips and music videos, as well as amateur content such as video bogging and short original videos. In October 2006, Google Inc. announced that it had reached a deal to acquire the company for 1.65 billion in Google stock. The deal closed on November 13, 2006.
Unregistered users can watch most videos on the site, while registered users are permitted to upload an unlimited number of videos. Some videos are available only to users of age 18 or older. Related videos, determined by title and tags, appear onscreen to the right of a given video. In YouTube's second year, functions were added to enhance user ability to post video 'responses' and subscribe to content feeds. There are many benefits of YouTube such as viewing movie clips and sharing your own clips with people around the worlds. There are a few drawbacks such as slow loading times depending on your internet speed and if opening YouTube page using Google your logging account won’t work. There are many possible enchantments that YouTube could use such as video competitions or maybe a web client to chat to fellow YouTube users. There are currently no non-Internet alternatives to using YouTube as there are mass amounts of data needed to be transmitted In order to view the contents of the page.

Download Services:

The internet holds key to millions of files such as images music, documents and many, many more. There are certain services that offer direct file downloads. There are different services that offer different types of download.Such services as Napstar and Amazon offer music downloads.Other services such as walmart.com offer video downloads.iTunes is a digital media player application, introduced by Apple on January 10, 2001 at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco, for playing and organizing digital music and video files. The program is also an interface to manage the contents on Apple's popular iPod digital media players as well as the recently introduced iPhone. Additionally, iTunes can connect to the iTunes Store (provided an internet connection is present) in order to download purchased digital music, music videos, television shows, iPod games, audiobooks, various podcasts, and feature length films.
Version 4 of iTunes introduced the iTunes Music Store (later renamed to the iTunes Store) from which iTunes users can buy and download songs for use on a limited number of computers and an unlimited number of iPods. Many songs purchased from the iTunes Store are copy protected with Apple's FairPlay digital rights management (DRM) system. In the years since, movies, television shows, podcasts, and video games have been also added to the extensive iTunes Stores catalog. The target audience is normally around the ages 11 and upwards because more and more people are using iTunes to download music direct to there computer instead of going out and buying the single from a store. People also do this because it is a lot cheaper online. The benefits of having ITunes is that you can download your track in a matter of seconds and it is easy payment also as you can pay through a debit card or you can go to any good electrical store and buy I vouchers which are priced at £15 and £25.Apple are always adding updates to ITunes in order to make downloading music as easy as possible .Possible enchantments could be downloading full length movies or maybe uploading your own videos or music like YouTube. At present there are no online download services as of yet.

In today’s world we are always thriving for information being it times or traffic reports or news. The internet is bursting with information we all use in every day life.Real time Information doesn’t have a set age as everyone old enough the read and write is on the internet these days.
The benefits of having real time information is we can find information that is at present and you can have the information you need in a matter of seconds. The drawbacks of having Real time information over the internet is it can put people out of a job such as weather reporters, News readers even traffic reporters.Possible enchantments for real time information has no limits. We can now receive real time information to our mobile phones but a downside to this is that it will incur a charge.
